Organ Donor Awareness

A native Texan, I have lived in Grand Prairie since 1981 and have two grown children and 7 terrific grands.  Besides spending quality time with family and friends, my interests include travel and reading mystery and suspense novels.  

I was honored to be recommended by Grand Prairie’s Mayor in January 2019 and was subsequently offered an opportunity to work as Public Relations and Awareness Director for the David Nicklas Organ Donor Awareness Foundation.  In addition to promoting organ donor awareness, I act as the liaison for patients we assist and their hospital case workers.

Affiliations include Grand Prairie Rotary Club, Grand Prairie Host Lions Club, Woman’s Club of Grand Prairie, National Association of REALTORS, Texas Association of REALTORS, and MetroTex Association of REALTORS.   

In the spring of 2021, I was honored to be recognized as the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year 2020.  

It is my privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce, Children First Counseling Center, Grand Prairie Family YMCA, Grand Prairie Host Lions Club, Grand Prairie Woman’s Club, and Imagine Foundation for Kids, and to be appointed a Commissioner by the City Council as a member of the Parks & Rec Commission on Aging.  I also serve on the Friends of PlayGrand Adventures Committee, as an Ambassador for You Can Live Again, and continue to volunteer for other organizations such as the Salvation Army, North Texas Food Bank, Source of Hope, Hispanic Heritage Ambassadors DFW, GPPD Santa Cop, and GP United Charities.
