Keri is the Director of Convention & Event Services- Arlington Entertainment District, Arlington, Texas. Originally from Columbus, GA, Keri resides in North Texas with her 3 beautiful children. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Hospitality Management from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL., and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports & Entertainment Management from University of Dallas. Coming from a family of educators, Keri understands and values the importance of education, exposure, and community advocacy. With 20+ years in the hospitality industry, her portfolio includes, Hotel Sales with Wyndham Hotels International; Executive Assistant to IAAM (International Association of Assembly Managers) CEO/President, Sales Manager and Events Director for Hurst Conference Center (Hurst, Texas) and Director of Events for the Irving Convention Center/SMG. Keri has served and continues to serve the DFW Metroplex through industry boards and mentorship opportunities. She has served on the Academy for Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Board for Dallas Independent School District, Texas Association of Venues & Facilities, Dallas Academy Foundation, Meeting Professional International, Irving Cares Pantry, National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, International Association for Venue Managers, Arlington Convention and Visitor Bureau Board, MD Pediatrics Parent Care Advocacy Board and Kim’s USA Taekwondo Volunteer Coordinator, just to name a few. The Fall is Keri’s favorite season of the year; not only was she born in the month of November and her favorite color is yellow, she loves College Football and Futbtol. Working out is her peaceful place along with being a foodie for anything, but pork and coconut. Her hearts cry is to leave a legacy filled with opportunity, purpose, empowerment, and wisdom. Keri’s goal everyday to assist in shorten the gap from those who will come after her.
