Our Rotary Club of Arlington Polio Night is scheduled for Thursday, October 26th at 6;00 p.m. at Sanford House. Valerie and her Chef are arranging for some scrumptious heavy hor D’Oeuvres and a flight of three different wine tastings for our pleasure. There will also be a cash bar available. Tickets will be $ 50 per person. I will be sending you the link for advance ticket sales soon! Please sign up for yourself, your spouse and a friend or significant other soon! This is also a great opportunity to invite a potential new member to show them we can have fun while also serving others!
Our primary fund raising efforts will be a raffle/auction for some special prizes. We need some volunteers to head up or assist with getting donated items and setting up and running the raffle/auction on the 26th. Great raffle items are tickets to local sporting or art events, culinary treats, spa packages, use of a vacation home, or other “experiences”. Please either donate or “open the door” to someone who can! Donors donations are tax deductible. If you feel led to donate items or to assist with the raffle, please email me with the best number to reach you!
Our Director- Rotary Foundation, Sally Hopper, tells us our goal is to raise $ 5000 this year for contribution to the Rotary Foundation for the purpose of eradicating polio! I look forward to sharing with you on the 26th for this important cause as we join with other Rotarians in this important work!
