Trey Yelverton, City Manager

Trey began his career with the City of Dallas as a Budget Analyst. Since 1993, Trey has been with the City of Arlington and currently serves as the City Manager.  Prior to becoming City Manager, he was a Deputy City Manager who oversaw a portfolio of neighborhood services that included the Police, Fire, Libraries, Parks & Recreation, and Code Compliance.  Previously, he managed the economic development portfolio which included Community Development and Planning; Arlington Convention Center; Office of Economic Development, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Downtown Management Corporation.  Additionally, he led the City’s team to fulfill the City’s obligations in developing Cowboys Stadium and Globe Life Field; coordinating support services for marquee events including Super Bowl XLV, 2010 NBA All-Star Game, and 2010 & 2011 World Series; and serving as the Executive Director of the Arlington Sports Facilities Development Authority.

Trey received his BA in Political Science-Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1988 and his Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Texas in 1989.
