Arlington Museum of Art

Chris Hightower is the President and CEO of the Arlington Museum of Art. Chris received his doctorate from TCU in Higher Education Administration. He has served on the board of the museum since 2005. In 2012, the board appointed Chris as the Executive Director. Since then, Chris has brought numerous big-name exhibitions to our city including Rembrandt, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Toulouse-Lautrec, Ansel Adams, Keith Haring and Frank Lloyd Wright – just to name a few. Under Chris’ leadership at the museum, he has quadrupled the annual budget and fundraising, secured a single major gift of half a million dollars to pay off all loans on their current building. The world class caliber of art that Chris is bringing to Arlington has made it a destination for cultural tourists. A recent study noted that 31% of the museum’s attendance is coming from over 50 miles away from the DFW metroplex. Since 2012, the Arlington Museum of Art has become a presence in the North Texas Cultural Arts community but has also received notable acclaim in New York City and across Europe for its world-class exhibits.
