Mary Louise Garcia was sworn in as County Clerk on January 5, 2015 for her second term as an elected official.

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, Criminology and Criminal Justice, graduating Magna cum laude from the University of Texas-Arlington.

Mary Louise served eight years on Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson’s command staff.  Prior to working with Tarrant County, she was owner of a public relations agency that served a variety of businesses, nonprofit organizations and political clients.

Her Business and Professional Associations include, but are not limited to the State Bar of Texas District Seven Grievance Committee, the Tarrant County Bail Bond Board, County Election Commission, Co-Chair of e-Gov Committee and Chairwoman of Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Committee.  In 2015, Mary Louise was reappointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) Board of Trustees that oversees the retirement, disability and survivor benefits for the more than 247,000 county and district employees. 

A Fort Worth native, Mary Louise is most proud of her two daughters, Juliana a 2014 graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York and Gabriella a 2015 graduate of Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas.   powe
